    As an earlier cultivated region in history, the place glows lasting fame and glory of history and culture. It was 100 thousand years ago, when our ancestors had started living and plowing on this land. Rising from the Spring and Autumn Period amid the fire towers to the 7th year of Northern Song Dynasty (A.D982), the place had always been a center of politics, economy, culture, military and traffic in North China. There had been a saying from mouth to mouth that: 'Harvest in grains, population and funds in growth, talents in generations, territory over mountains and rivers,' Quantity of relics and anecdotes were largely left on this riddle-full loess from Northern Qi period (A.D 557) of Northern and Southern Dynasties until the prosperity of Tang Dynasty and the Later Tang, Later Jin, Later Han and Northern Han ages of the 5-Dynesties period in history.( AD 962-1279) That's how it gained the name as City of Dragon.
