The social security system has been
gradually improved and slrengthened. The 536000 employees
from enterprises and 211500 retirees have participated in
the old - age insurance system. The coverage rate of old-age
insurance for employees reached 95.6 per cent of the total.
The 667300 employees from enterprises have participated in
the unemployment insurance, with coverage rate of 97.0 per
cent. The 415000 employees have participated in the birth
security. 505500 persons have participated in the health care
insurance. A breakthrough has been made in the work for the
lowest living standards of urban residents. A total of 99500
persons have accepted the subsistence allowance and a total
allowance of 75.92 million yuan have been granted, providing
subsistence allowance for every urban poor. |
