In Taiyuan
Backdating to history, Taiyuan was
so called as 'Town of Beautiful Landscape'. Scattering over
the place are plentiful zoology tourism resources; sceneries
of human anecdotes and cultural relics.
Situated 25 km in the southwest,
is the 'Holy Mother Temple' built in 'Beiwei' dynasty for
the mother of 'Emperor Tang Shuyu' , the founder of 'State
Jin' The temple rates as the biggest royal one nationally
and can be regarded as dazzling pearl symbolizing Chinese
culture. Inside the temple, stand densely halls of magnificence
with bundlefull of relics, to name, they are the 'Holy Mother
Hall', 'Fish Pond with Plying Beam' , colred sculptures ofmaidens
of Song dynasty, stale with calligraphy by emporer of Tang
dynasty, ' cypress planted in Zhou dynasty' , pagodatree planted
in Tang dynasty, 'Everlasting Spring' , 'Tangshu Temple' ,
'Xiandian Hall' , 'Golden Figure Platform' 'Luxian Ge Cabin'
'Chaoyang Cave' all identically characterized telling many
a beautiful story. Besides, there are the 'Jinxi College'
and the 'Wang's Temple'.
In the east of Taiyuan, there stands
the 'Twin Pagoda' the 'Yongzuo' Temple built in Ming dynasty
which is a symbol of Taiyuan.
Situated 36 km in the southwest,
is the ' Tian Longshan Grotto' built in 'Dong Wei Five. States'
dynasty and fined in Yuan dynasty, in the existing 25 caves
from 'Bei Chao' period carved with 'Arc Carving' is known
as ' Tianlong Style' Over 500 sculptures of Buddhism characters
there later were taken as models for the making of the kind
in China. Frescos kept there are 1144 pieces with vivid appearances
with delicacy appreciated as the prime of the world by professionals.
Situated 20 km in the southwest,
is the '' Longshan Grotto' ' built in Tang dynasty and fined
in Yuan dynasty, in the existing 8 caves, curved figures are
the saints and the '7 Pupils of the Taoism Ancestor Wang Chongyang'
so that it rates as the biggest Taoism grottos nationally.
The design of fencing walls are dragon and Phoenix reflecting
art and taste of the people then. for the mother of 'Emperor
Tang Shuyu' , the founder of 'State Jin' The temple rates
as the 'Chongshan Temple' built in 'Tang' dynasty is the most
capacity of scriptures of China' s Buddhism, totaling to 20
thousand volumes. 137 pieces of 'Baoshi Hua' paintings' of
Ming dynasty's frescos are also stored there. Furthermore,
there is the most typical wooden architecture of Ming dynasty,
the 'Da Beidian' hall as well as the precious Ming dynasty'
s sculptures 'Sanda Shi' , Similar is another temple, the
'Chun Yanggong' Taoism temple, which was built exclusively
for the saint 'Lu Dongbin' Arrangement of galleries and pavilions

the time. Stored there are also bronze sculpture of marshal
' Guan Yu' s horse. It is also used as Shanxi Museum to display

Ruins of the ancient 'Jinyang' city
that lies at the 'Gu Chngying' village, 'Jinyuan' district
in the southwest of the present city of Taiyuan lingers a
broken wall of 1 km with ' terrace of Palace' surrounded by
villages called ' Cheng Dongjiao' , Jin Yangbao' 'Nan Chengjiao
'Chengbei' and Luocheng' , all telling the faded glory of
the ancient 'Jinyang'.
'Shengfu' - Provincial Government Houses situated at 'Fuxi
Street' is the site of the present 'People' s Government of
Shanxi' In the ancient time, it was the site of the ' Tang
Ming' town ,site of 'Jin Wengong Temple' for the emperor of
'Jin State' . At 'Song' dynasty when ' War on Jinyang by Song,
Marshal 'Pan Mei' set his headquarter in the temple. After
rebuilding of 'Jinyang' , the place changed to the status
of a province. Thereafter, despite alteration of dynasties
and time, the place has remained center of power, for that
,it was so prized 'No. 1 Government Houses'.

' Memorium Hall' for ' Mr. Sun Yasung , ' Residence of 'Go
Junyu' , "Site of State Teacher' s Colllege' , 'Da Xuetang
- Shanxi University' , Warlord Offical Building' as well as
' No. 1 Provincial Middle School' which is used now as a display
and museum for education of patriotism an tradition.
